Dear Patrons,
Participant registration for the 2026 Dāsara Āradhane will open on December 15th.
🔹 Registration is limited to the first 50 entries and will close once capacity is reached.
🔹 Due to the overwhelming participation in recent years, we are unable to accommodate additional in-person entries.
🔹 Overflow participants and those unable to attend may submit an online video recording, which will be featured on our community YouTube channel. More details will be shared after registration closes.
📌 Registration link will be shared on December 15th.
We encourage you to register early. Prior to completing the form, kindly review the outlined guidelines.
Key Guidelines for Participants:
Time Limit: Each performance, including all components, is limited to 5 minutes.
Repertoire: Only compositions from Karnataka Dāsa Sāhitya will be considered.
Group Preference: Group entries (2 or more participants) will be prioritized over solo performances.
Entry Limit: Each participant can perform only one song (whether solo, group, or instrumental. Exceptions will be made if singing in pancharatna group).
Song Selection: You must submit two song choices during registration. Entries will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, and duplicate/repeated selections may require you to choose alternates.
Eligibility: Participants must reside in Southern California.
Special Notes:
Songs from Purandara Dāsara Pillāri Geetegalu, Pancharatna, and Mangala collections are excluded from general entries.
Participants in Navaratna performances cannot participate in any other solo/group entry.
If singing Navaratna songs it has to be in a group of 2 or more.
Online entries have up to 8 mins time limit.
Tips for Participants:
Limit your performance to a maximum of 3 charanas.
Kindly avoid adding swaras and aalapane as no extra time will be allotted.
Avoid selecting very common songs or songs performed in previous years to bring more variety to the event.
We look forward to your enthusiastic participation and to celebrating the rich tradition of Karnataka Dāsa Sāhitya together. Feel free to reach out via whatsapp or email if you have further questions.
